Since the day I walked into my first newsroom as a college intern, I have been a journalist. I have never wanted to do anything else.
My career began as a five o'clock producer for KRIS-TV in Corpus Christi, Texas. I went on to write for the Associated Press, United Press International, Thomson Reuters, Forbes, Texas Monthly, the Los Angeles Daily Journal, the Los Angeles Daily News Group, Variety, and numerous other publications as a staffer and freelance writer.
I have written and ghostwritten five books, including Netflixed: The Epic Battle for America's Eyeballs and Raven 23: How the Department of Justice Betrayed American Heroes.
The film I made with director Shawn Cauthen, Netflix vs. the World, won Best Documentary at the Lone Star Film Festival in 2019.
My first podcast, "Netflix vs. Blockbuster," for Wondery's BusinessWars series, reached millions of listeners, and my next podcast series, "Raven 23: Presumption of Guilt," helped free four wrongly convicted American veterans from prison.
I am a principal of the independent media company, ThinkAgain Studios, along with Micheal Flaherty and Mitchell Weinbaum.
